Summer Reading Part 1

It wouldn’t be summer without indulging myself in all of the fun reading I put off during the semester. You can find me in the public library on a weekly basis (sometimes more). My preference is young adult fiction, but I’ll read anything if it’s interesting enough. I thought it would be nice to share my favorite books I’ve read so far.

Where’d You Go Bernadette by Maria Semple

The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han

Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card

I read a lot, so for books to stand out there has to be something unique or particularly appealing. With each of these books, I found myself slowing down and really soaking in the text. They are all very different, but if you’re looking for reading material, I would recommend checking these out and reading any of them that sound interesting.

I also thought I’d include a few honorable mentions. These are all YA books I think are perfect for sheer entertainment while sitting by the pool or in front of the AC.

Across the Universe series by Beth Revis

Bright Young Things series by Anna Godbersen

Heist Society series by Ally Carter

The Selection series by Kiera Cass

Catherine by April Lindner

Enjoy and happy reading! Let me know if you’ve read any good books lately.
