Random Acts of Kindness

February is a month when many people focus on love. On Valentine’s Day, we celebrate relationships and friendships. However, we often forget one important aspect – kindness. Do we take the time to show others that we care for them, not by buying them chocolates or flowers but through the way we treat them on a daily basis? That’s why this February I’m trying to accomplish 28 acts of kindness, one for every day this month. Hopefully at the end of the month I will have done some good and worked on ways I can be kinder all the time. I’ve been enjoying it so far and definitely encourage anyone who wants to join me. Down below I’m including a list of some idea to get started.

Random Acts of Kindness:

  • Write someone a letter
  • Hold the door open for the person behind you
  • Smile at a stranger
  • Catch up with an old friend
  • Call your parents/grandparents
  • Post a cute picture/funny video on a friend’s Facebook
  • Leave a big tip at a restaurant
  • Bake cookies for your coworkers
  • Treat someone to dinner
  • Donate old clothes to charity
  • Take out the trash/do the dishes/etc. without being asked
  • Let someone over in traffic
  • Give a genuine compliment
  • Say “thank you” more
  • Listen when someone needs to vent
  • Leave a positive review
  • Give someone a ride
  • Leave change in a vending machine
  • Pay for the person behind you in line

Hope these help! Please leave your own ideas in the comments. : )
