What’s In My Travel Toiletries Bag

I love travel size items. It gives me a chance to try something new without the commitment. Plus, who can resist the cute little packaging? Here’s a look at my favorite things I brought along with me on my trip this summer.

This was my first chance to try out the shampoo bars from Lush. These are great for travel because they’re solid, rather than a liquid. Don’t have to worry about them leaking in your luggage! I used Godiva.

Another travel must-have is the Venus travel razor. In case you haven’t seen this already, it uses any of the regular blades, but the handle is smaller. The whole thing comes in a compact case for packing. Can be saved and reused, too.

Hairspray is such a necessity that I actually brought two. For everyday, I love the Oribe Superfine Spray. It’s a bit pricey, so a trip was a good excuse to splurge on a travel size bottle. Seriously, though, I like everything else about the product. Then for days when you need more volume, I can’t say enough good things about the Bumble and Bumble Dryspun Finish.

Of course, I can’t be bothered to wash my hair every day when I could be out having fun. For second day hair, I brought the Pret-a-Powder dry shampoo from Bumble and Bumble. The powder formula can take some getting used to; however, I find it leaves my hair with a much better texture than the spray versions. Not to mention it comes in the tiniest, most adorable bottle I’ve ever seen.

I’ve seen lots of travel toothbrushes and containers. My personal favorite is the Steripod Toothbrush Sanitizer. It simply clips on over the bristles, protecting and sanitizing. This is great for in the bag and out on the counter. It’s cheap and lasts for three months. I actually use them at home also.

Finally, my last must have is the Jergens Natural Glow Moisturizer. This travel lotion gives your skin a bit of color without being as intimidating as a self-tanner. Use it to kick off a holiday tan or just disguise your ghostly paleness like me.

These were my go-to products on vacation. While I might be a sucker for miniature-sized products, I think they add something extra special to a trip. It’s a great chance to try out some new products before buying the full size.
